Summer Partnership, First Baptist Church of Eclectic

Would you have thought that one volunteer could mobilize an entire church to take on new summer missions in their community in partnership with CEF® of Central Alabama? Well that is exactly the kind of work God has done in Eclectic Alabama!
In the spring of 2018, a Good News Club® teacher at Eclectic Elementary asked the staff of Central Alabama to connect with the pastor of her church, First Baptist Church in Eclectic. After meeting with Pastor Britt Green and presenting the opportunity to the youth, CEF® of Central Alabama began a summer missions partnership with the church.
The Eclectic team hosts 5-Day Club® at Panther Palace Park in the center of Eclectic.
A team of volunteers attended the summer church training on June 16. Then Jeremy Brown, the student minister, met with Abby Solomon, a summer intern with CEF®, to settle the details of teaching assignments and locations. On Monday, July 9, a team of Christian Youth In Action® missionaries joined the church volunteers for a week of ministry in the community. First Baptist hosted 5-Day Clubs® at their church, a nearby summer program held at the elementary school, and a park in the Woodlawn subdivision.
