This training is an excellent tool for believers of all ages, engaged in all realms of ministry. These workshops will strengthen your evangelism and teaching skills in Sunday school settings, Vacation Bible School, domestic and foreign missions trips, or just sharing your faith with those God brings into your life.
At CEF of Central Alabama, we want to meet needs in the community by offering relevant and encouraging training in ministry. As you can imagine, in light of these (I’m gonna say it) UNPRECEDENTED times (haha), it’s difficult to know for sure what we will be able to do and when. This event may need to be postponed, canceled, or hosted virtually. Thank you for understanding and for being flexible. We hope to see you as soon at this event whenever it is possible.

We are changing gears and making this a training day for the Christian Youth in Action missionaries, but please feel free to call or email us at the office for information on purchasing the 5-day club kit to use in your summer ministry or to book a 5-day club in your neighborhood with the CYIA missionaries.
We are very excited to host this event online in a webinar format. This will be a sort of lunch-n-learn event. Grab your lunch and sign in using the information we will send the morning of the event. You will be able to see us, as well as respond to and ask questions via chat. We can’t wait to encourage you and learn together about sustainable long-lasting leadership.

We are SO EXCITED to present CEF of Central AL's Spring 2020 GNC Training and Pancake Breakfast!
We have a fun twist this training! We will have workshops on Good News Club elements such as ensuring the club flow is educational and exciting, how to teach the memory verse and Bible lesson, and more.
But our NEW element is the Children's Ministry Resource Bible workshop! This one does have a cost, but you will get a Bible and it will be an in depth look at the Bible's resources. This includes articles about teaching children, aids for dealing with problems, many Bible lessons, and presenting the Gospel.
We want to equip you to have an effective ministry to preschoolers (and kindergartners) in the community, in your church, or in Good News Club. We will cover how teaching preschoolers (and kindergartners) is different, practical tips, and how to teach preschoolers (and kindergartners) when they are among older children.
Excerpt: “Little kids are active, unique, noisy, curious, growing, playful, emotional, energetic, egocentric, frustrating and lovable. If we’re going to teach little kids, then we need to gain an understanding of what they are like. How are they made? How do they think and learn? How do they respond and why? These are important questions to ask and to know the answers to in dealing with this unique creation of God.”
We will host a pancake breakfast as appreciation to our current and future volunteers. Afterward, there will be various sessions and workshops to explore the curriculum and to prepare committed or potential volunteers for service in Good News Club® for the school year.
Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) is a program designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. You will attend a one to two week training school where you will learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child’s level, counsel a child for salvation and lead a dynamic club ministry for kids.

This event is for churches who have partnered with Summer Ministry to reach their community by teaching 5-Day Club®s for at least one week this summer. The training will consist of various workshops, demonstration, material distribution, and focused time of prayer.
There will be various sessions and workshops to explore the curriculum and to prepare committed or potential volunteers for service in Good News Club® for the school year.

This event is for churches who have partnered with Summer Missions to reach their community by teaching 5-Day Club®s for at least one week this summer. The training will consist of various workshops, demonstration, material distribution, and focused time of prayer. A light lunch will be provided. There is no individual charge to attend the event, but there is a partnership fee per church of $150. If you or your church would like more information about this event you can email us or call the office and speak to one of our summer staff, Teree Solomon or Isaac Ritchie.
Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) is a program designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. You will attend a one to two week training school where you will learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child’s level, counsel a child for salvation and lead a dynamic club ministry for kids. Components of this club include teaching a Bible lesson, a real-life missionary story and a Bible verse as well as leading songs, games and a fun review time.
All new CYIA™ missionaries: pretraining will be at the CEF office on May 19th from 9-1! Don't forget to bring your Bible and a snack to share. Lunch will be provided. If you know anyone who is going on a Mission's trip this summer or just would like to know how to share the gospel with kids, they are more than welcome to join the Saturday pre-training class. For any non-CYIA™ student there is a $10.00 fee.
