“I just love Jesus!”

a little boy pipes us during the Christmas story during Good News Club. Boys and girls all around him join in, “Me too! Me too!” What an encouraging experience to see children excited to know and love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ray is a first grader in a Central Alabama Elementary School, and he attends the Good News Club at his school. Each week he joins about 60 other students in the cafeteria to do small group activities, sing songs, hear lessons from the Bible, and learn to memorize scripture. The church volunteers who teach this Good News Club greet him with smiles and excitement.

At Christmas time, children tend to have a lot on their minds, such as school break, candy, and gifts under a Christmas tree. In Good News Club they are learning that Christmas reminds us of Jesus, who came down to earth to be with us and to save us from our sin. The Christmas story is one of miracles and of trusting a God who works in ways we do not understand.

God has worked in many ways to make the Good News Clubs of Central Alabama possible. He has opened doors wide where we might expect hostility. He has protected his work in ways we can't even see. We are so thankful to him that he calls us to take part in his work of bringing light into communities and hope to lost children.

It is only through his work in us and around us that we can bring the gift of Good News to families in our community through Good News Club. He is giving these families the gift of hearing the Gospel, but He is also granting us the gift of telling it. We want to thank Him above all for all that He has done, but also, we want to thank all of our supporters for your generous partnerships.
