Fair 2024 highlights!
God is amazing! We had such a great time at the fair in 2024. Nearly 200 gospel presentations using the wordless book, 6 children assured in their faith, and 22 salvations! It simply astounds me what God can do with a little faith, courage, and willingness to be part of His plan.
There are so many wonderful stories from these 11 days, but one I will share with you here is how an older child was unsure of her faith, knowing all the stories and all the right answers. But, being asked the simple question- have you ever asked Jesus to take the punishment for your sins? This child had to tell me she were unsure. I showed her how God is always with her and she will never be away from God when she puts her faith in Him- it was like you could see His glow in her eyes. It was a 5 minute interaction, but it was like in that moment both of us knew, this was her true spiritual birthday. Saying that prayer with fervor, with commitment, it brings tears to my eyes even remembering it.
And that was one of the 22 people whose eternal life was changed as a result of about a dozen volunteers simply saying “yes” when asked if they could help at our booth at the fair. We also prayed with displaced families from Hurricane Helene, a dear friend who lost their husband recently, and shared joy with many who passed by the booth.
