2018 Good News Club Training Re-Cap
Praise God for a successful and wonderful day of fellowship, encouragement, and training in preparation for this year of Good News Clubs. Thank you to all the volunteers who participated, as well as those who helped to serve and to demonstrate! The morning started off with a Pancake Appreciation Breakfast, Panel discussion with the local CEF of Central Alabama committee members, and chance to here from an International CEF worker as well. We covered some great material in our general and breakout sessions such as a live demonstration of the first series of Good News Club material for this semester, Sharing the Message of Salvation through the Wordless Book, Counseling a Child for Salvation, Prayer and Community Involvement, as well as Supporting Elements of Good News Club, such as how to teach Memory Verse, songs, Wondertime, etc.

We have designed a new volunteer access portal for new and current volunteers to access resources, demo videos, submit and update paperwork, submit reports, prayer requests, and praise reports, and much more! This site it password protected and the password will change seasonally to insure that current volunteers maintain access. We announced our next event, the Good News Comedy Night and "Dad Joke" Competition on October 4, 2018.
What's Next?
Teaching Children Effectively Level 1
The class series is open to various ages and levels of experience. Based on spiritual and educational principles, the course provides the methods and procedures to lead children to Christ and immediately equips the believer to begin and sustain ministry where he or she lives. The course begins September 17, 2018* and continues weekly for 12 weeks. Time 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. There is a fee of $85 for materials.
